DHL Stormers announce squad for Champions Cup opener against Bristol Bears

The DHL Stormers have announced their squad for the Investec Champions Cup opener against the Bristol Bears at DHL Stadium. Springbok loose forward Evan Roos returns to the lineup for his first appearance of the season following a hamstring injury. He replaces Hacjivah Dayimani, who has been ruled out due to concussion.

Director of Rugby John Dobson has implemented significant changes to the front row, with Vernon Matongo, JJ Kotzé, and Sazi Sandi starting. Notably, Springbok prop Wilco Louw has been dropped from the starting lineup for this fixture. While the backline remains largely unchanged from the previous week's victory over the Sharks, the team has adjusted its pack to counter the high-mobility style of the Bristol side.
