DHL upgrades Swedish parcel network and appoints Nordic business head
DHL is upgrading its Swedish parcel agent network ahead of the holiday season by introducing a new mobile tool called Disa. The system, which utilizes handheld devices with integrated scanners, allows staff at approximately 1,900 service points to scan and manage packages directly on-site. This initiative aims to increase efficiency and flexibility by eliminating the need to transport shipments to fixed terminals.
The rollout is currently underway, with over 100 agents being equipped each week, and is expected to be completed by the end of November. This technological upgrade is part of a broader investment of over 2 billion SEK into Swedish e-commerce logistics over the next two years, which includes the addition of 5,000 new parcel lockers.
In a separate organizational move, DHL Supply Chain has appointed Magdalena Robsarve as the new Head of Business Development Nordics. Robsarve, who joins from PostNord TPL, will join the Nordic leadership team to drive strategic growth and customer-focused solutions across Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway.
