Dhoot Transmission shares debut with 38% premium on Indian exchanges

Dhoot Transmission, an automotive components manufacturer, saw its shares debut on Indian stock exchanges with a significant premium on August 17, 2026. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the stock opened at ₹1,200 per share, a 37.77% increase over its IPO price of ₹871. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the shares opened at ₹1,193.80, representing a 37.06% premium.

The ₹3,067 crore initial public offering (IPO) experienced heavy demand, with total subscriptions reaching 74.21 times. Specific interest was noted among Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), who subscribed 212.92 times, and Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs), who subscribed 51.93 times. Retail investors' portions were subscribed 8.12 times.

Following the initial surge, the stock experienced intraday volatility. On the NSE, shares traded between a high of ₹1,205 and a low of ₹1,140 during the morning session. Prior to the offering, the company secured ₹918.3 crore from anchor investors, including BlackRock, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and SBI Mutual Funds.
