Dhruv Jurel named captain of India A for New Zealand series

Dhruv Jurel has been appointed captain of the India A cricket team for an upcoming three-match unofficial Test series against New Zealand A. The series is scheduled to take place from October 24 to November 10.

The India A squad features several prominent players, including KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Rishabh Pant. Pant's participation is contingent on his fitness, though he remains the primary wicketkeeper choice for the national Test side. Other notable inclusions are Devdutt Padikkal, Washington Sundar, and Mukesh Kumar, who returns to the squad following strong performances in the Irani Cup.

Jurel succeeds Devdutt Padikkal as captain, having previously led the side in unofficial Tests against Australia A.
