Dhruv Kapoor unveils Spring-Summer 2027 collection

Designer Dhruv Kapoor has unveiled his Spring-Summer 2027 collection, which centers on the theme of conscious presence and the transformative effects of time on the body and materials. The collection utilizes a palette of faded, sun-weathered shades alongside intense colors to represent growth and aging.

A key element of the collection is the reinterpretation of traditional Indian attire, including lungis, waistcoats, and saris, through new methods of draping and layering. The designs feature silhouettes that vary between ample, elongated volumes and short, fitted cuts.

The collection emphasizes texture and material experimentation, mixing silk with jersey, using crumpled checked fabrics, and incorporating leather with aged-looking creases. Embellishments include nature-inspired embroideries and prints reminiscent of moss, old wood, and faded posters. Accessories include oversized versions of the Constant pouch and updated Mary Jane models.
