Dhruv Rathee leads protest at London's Parliament Square

YouTuber Dhruv Rathee organized a protest at Parliament Square in London, near the Mahatma Gandhi statue, to raise concerns regarding India’s electoral processes and the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner. Rathee addressed the crowd, stating that discussing democratic rights outside of India is necessary to improve the country’s systems.

The event led to confrontations between two groups of the Indian diaspora—one supporting Rathee and another opposing him. The Metropolitan Police intervened to manage the tension and keep the opposing factions separated. This demonstration follows recent unrest in Delhi regarding similar issues.
