DHS denies reports of ICE arrest quotas

Reports indicate that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) leadership has allegedly pressured agents to increase daily arrests to 3,000 people, aiming for a weekly total of 19,000 ahead of the midterm elections. Some Republican lawmakers, including Senator Jim Justice of West Virginia, have expressed concern regarding the intensity of these enforcement actions.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has denied these reports, stating there are “NO quotas on arrests.” A DHS spokesperson maintained that under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Markwayne Mullin, the agency is utilizing all lawful tools to find, arrest, and deport illegal aliens.
