DHS Secretary Mullin claims investigation into 300,000 non-citizen voting cases
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin has stated that the agency is investigating over 300,000 potential cases of non-citizen voting. Mullin reported that there are currently 1,620 open cases and that 151 arrests have already been made.
During a discussion regarding these claims, controversy arose concerning data from New Jersey. Mullin cited figures suggesting over 30,000 illegal votes in the state, while critics pointed to a computer glitch that reportedly resulted in only 400 illegal votes. Additionally, discussions highlighted that in Texas, DHS originally identified 2,724 possible non-citizen voters out of 18 million registrations.
