DHT Holdings posts record Q2 earnings and lifts dividend to $1.22
DHT Holdings announced that its second‑quarter 2026 net income rose to US$198.3 million, more than three times the US$56 million reported a year earlier. Shipping revenues jumped to US$284.8 million, driven by higher earnings per day on its VLCC fleet as vessels took longer, higher‑risk routes through the Middle East. The company declared a quarterly cash dividend of US$1.22 per share, its 66th consecutive dividend, payable on Aug 24 to shareholders of record on Aug 17.
Management said the surge reflects risk premiums earned on voyages through the Persian Gulf, while noting that China’s temporary drawdown of strategic crude stocks has suppressed oil price spikes and is expected to boost crude‑oil transportation demand once inventories are replenished.
