Dhurandhar The Revenge undergoes edits for TV premiere

The action film Dhurandhar The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, is set to premiere on Star Gold on October 18 at 7:00 pm. To prepare for its television debut, the film underwent a new certification process by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Originally released in theaters with an 'A' certificate, the film has been cleared for television with a 'U/A 16+' rating. This transition required between 45 and 50 cuts, primarily targeting violent and gory visuals. While the number of edits is high, the total runtime reduction is only approximately 10 minutes, bringing the television version to 219 minutes and 6 seconds from the original theatrical runtime of 229 minutes and 6 seconds.

The modifications involve individual edits within sequences—such as shortening specific shots or removing portions of violent scenes—rather than the removal of entire scenes, allowing the film to reach a broader audience without altering the central plot.
