Dia and Eroski report growth in Spanish retail sectors
Spanish retail companies Dia and Eroski have reported significant growth in their recent financial performances. Dia recorded gross sales of 4,562 million euros in Spain during the first nine months of the year, representing an 11.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025. This growth is attributed to new customer acquisition and an accelerated store opening plan. In Argentina, Dia's gross sales reached 1,100.9 million euros, though currency fluctuations impacted the current exchange rate figures.
Eroski's subsidiary, Forum Sport, saw its net sales rise by 4% to over 131 million euros. The business also reported a profit increase of nearly 20% compared to the previous fiscal year, with an EBITDA of 4.3 million euros. Eroski CEO Rosa Carabel stated that Forum Sport is not for sale and that the company intends to reinforce the business through potential strategic alliances.
