Diablo 2 Resurrected receives first-person VR mod

A modder known as Sergious (Reddit user Fantastic-Author2736) has developed a modification that transforms the isometric action RPG Diablo 2 Resurrected into a first-person virtual reality experience.

The mod utilizes existing 3D assets within the game, building upon previous work such as the D2R-3D mod by emmericp, alongside FlatVR and BodyWalk. The modification features a redesigned user interface tailored for VR, including health and mana displays on the character's left wrist, an inventory located on the belt, and a map that can be summoned as a handheld orb.

While demonstration videos show gameplay involving a Sorceress using fireballs against enemies, the mod is currently in a testing phase. Users should note that the first-person camera and projectile calculations are not yet fully calibrated, and the game may crash after approximately one minute of play. Files for the mod are being made available on GitHub.
