Screenwriter Diablo Cody has teased that a sequel to the 2009 cult horror film ‘Jennifer’s Body’ is imminent. Speaking on the Petticoat Revolution podcast, Cody indicated that the new installment will delve deeper into the emotional complexity of the protagonist, Jennifer Check.

Cody described Jennifer as a sympathetic character, noting that the sequel will explore the loneliness, insecurity, and isolation she experiences both before and after her demonic transformation. The writer emphasized that while the character is often remembered for her power and confidence, the sequel will highlight her vulnerability.

While specific plot details remain undisclosed, 20th Century Studios is reportedly developing the project. Original director Karyn Kusama has expressed enthusiasm for the follow-up, and both original stars Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried have previously indicated interest in returning to their roles.
