Diabo, Burkina Faso records 100% revenue collection and expands voluntary social insurance for informal workers
The special delegation of Diabo held its accountability day on 25 July 2026, presenting the 2025 financial results. The commune reported a total revenue collection of 433,267,842 FCFA, a collection rate of 100.11 % against a forecast of 432,786,544 FCFA. Own‑source revenues reached 174,574,607 FCFA (132.49 % of forecast) and investment execution stood at 99.13 %.
On the same day, the regional directorate of Labour and Social Protection organised a sensitisation session on the CNSS voluntary insurance scheme for informal‑sector workers. Contributions range from 6,300 FCFA to 112,000 FCFA, payable remotely via Orange Money. A pension is granted after at least 15 years of contributions and at age 56; otherwise an old‑age allowance is provided. Participants highlighted the importance of preparing for retirement through the scheme.
