Diamante drug arrests validated by Paola court
A court in Paola has validated the arrests of two men following an anti-drug operation in Diamante. While the prosecution requested house arrest, the judge opted for a less severe precautionary measure, imposing a ban on residing within the municipality of Diamante.
One of the suspects, identified as D. D. R., faces charges of illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of drug dealing, with a history of recidivism. During a search conducted at a restaurant in Diamante, authorities seized approximately 76.51 grams of a substance that tested positive for cocaine.
The seized drugs were found in two locations: roughly 3 grams were divided into five heat-sealed doses hidden in a kitchen refrigerator, while a larger quantity of 73.5 grams was stored in a vacuum bag inside a second refrigerator at the entrance of the establishment.
