Diamante, Italy, features over 200 murals in Calabria

The town of Diamante, located on the Tyrrhenian Sea in the Calabria region of Italy, has become a notable destination for street art enthusiasts. The town features over 200 murals that transform its historic center into an open-air museum.

The mural project began in 1981 through an initiative by Italian painter Nanie Razgetti and local authorities. Artists from Italy and other countries have contributed large-scale works depicting regional history, local traditions, daily life, and significant past events. In addition to its artistic attractions, Diamante is a coastal resort known for its beaches and proximity to the Cedars Coast.
