Diamantino celebrates 298 years of emancipation with religious festivities

The municipality of Diamantino celebrated its 298th anniversary of emancipation with a series of religious and cultural events. As part of the second day of festivities, the Marcha para Jesus was held in partnership with the Association of Pastors of Diamantino (APIMED).

The event included a procession starting at United Box and traveling through the city's main streets to Praça do Bairro Buriti. More than 3,000 residents participated in the procession, which featured music and expressions of faith. The celebration concluded with a musical program featuring local ministries and a national performance by singer Davi Sacer.

Mayor Chico Mendes stated that the Marcha para Jesus is an integral part of the anniversary programming, aimed at bringing families, churches, and the community together in a moment of faith while respecting different ways of celebrating the city's history.
