Diamond Inc. launches business documentary platform

Diamond Inc. has announced the official launch of ‘DIAMOND Documentary’ (DD), a new video documentary platform focused on the business and economic sectors. The platform aims to provide in-depth coverage of companies, key individuals, and major news stories through long-term observational filmmaking.

The first installment of the series will feature a long-term look at the challenges faced by the next-generation semiconductor company, Rapidus. The project utilizes a ‘multi-use’ approach, distributing content across both video and text formats, and incorporates ‘process economy’ by turning the reporting and production process itself into content.

To lead the initiative, Kinji Abe, a former producer at TV Tokyo known for programs such as ‘Cambria Palace’ and ‘Gaia no Yoake’, has joined Diamond Inc. as Chief Producer and Senior Editorial Member. He will be supported by a production team with experience from NHK and other commercial broadcasters.
