Diamond Wipes recalls 55,000 lidocaine tattoo wipes

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for approximately 55,250 MD Wipe Outz Numbing Tattoo Wipes manufactured by Diamond Wipes International, Inc. The recall was initiated because the product's foil packaging fails to meet federal child-resistant standards required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act.

The wipes contain lidocaine, a topical anesthetic that poses a risk of serious injury or death if ingested by young children. While the wipes themselves are not described as having a manufacturing defect, the single-layer foil packets do not provide the necessary barrier to prevent accidental poisoning by children under five.

The recalled items were sold online through Amazon and Shopify between September 2025 and June 2026. They were available in boxes of 5, 10, 25, and 250 units. No injuries or incidents have been reported to date. Consumers are advised to keep the products away from children and contact Diamond Wipes International for a refund by following specific photographic documentation instructions.
