Diamondbacks beat Cardinals 10-6 in makeup game

Starting pitcher Brandon Pfaadt delivered six solid innings, allowing two first‑inning runs before settling down for five scoreless frames, giving Arizona the victory.

The game was a makeup of the June 25 rainout. Arizona recorded 16 hits and improved to three straight wins, nine of 11 overall. St. Louis pitcher Michael McGreevy allowed four runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings; the Cardinals have now lost 11 of 16. Jordan Walker received a standing ovation before his first plate appearance since winning the 2026 Home Run Derby, adding an RBI double for St. Louis. The win keeps the Diamondbacks in the NL wild‑card race.
