Diamondbacks defeat Dodgers 9-2 as McCann hits two homers

James McCann hit his first two home runs of the season and recorded four RBIs as the Arizona Diamondbacks routed the Los Angeles Dodgers 9‑2 on Saturday night. Brandon Pfaadt earned his third consecutive win, allowing two runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto was announced to miss Tuesday’s All‑Star Game, and Shohei Ohtani will also sit out. Arizona lost center fielder Tommy Troy to a right‑shoulder contusion after colliding with the wall. The Diamondbacks will start left‑hander Mitch Bratt on Sunday against Dodgers right‑hander Emmet Sheehan.
