DIAN platforms suffer nationwide outage in Colombia

The Colombian Tax and Customs Authority (DIAN) experienced a widespread failure of its electronic information services on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. The outage affected various technological platforms and services nationwide, impacting critical customs procedures such as document filing, declaration acceptance, and the issuance of payment receipts.

DIAN attributed the disruption to an external electrical failure involving a local transformer in Bogotá, which impacted the power supply to the data center hosting its services. The entity stated that the issue did not originate within its own infrastructure and confirmed that technical teams activated recovery protocols to restore all services to normal operation.

The National Association of Foreign Trade (Analdex) reported that the paralysis began around 11:20 a.m. and warned that it exacerbates ongoing intermittent issues that users have been reporting for approximately two months. Analdex has requested that DIAN declare a formal contingency under Resolution 46 of 2019, which would allow for manual processing of procedures to mitigate the impact on ports, border crossings, and warehouses.
