German television sees cast changes and new reality show launches

German television is seeing significant cast changes and new reality programming. In the long-running ZDF series ‘Rosenheim-Cops’, Marisa Burger is departing after over two decades; her character, Miriam Stockl, is written to move to Australia. Similarly, Holger Stockhaus has voluntarily left the ZDF crime series ‘Friesland’ after eleven years to pursue new projects.

New reality competition seasons are also launching. RTLZWEI is preparing ‘Der Promihof’, where 22 celebrities will perform farm labor for a chance at a 100,000 Euro prize. RTL+ is hosting the sixth season of ‘Are You The One? Realitystars in Love’, featuring a 200,000 Euro jackpot. Additionally, the third season of ‘Love Island VIP’ is underway, moderated by Sylvie Meis. On ProSieben, the show ‘Schlag den Star’ will feature a matchup between ‘Bachelor’ alumni Paul Janke and Andrej Mangold against beauty doctors Dr. Rick and Dr. Nick. Sat. 1 continues its ‘Promi Big Brother’ series, with Nikola Grey recently joining the cast.
