Diana Buzoianu adopts Leia, the Ministry of Environment cat

Diana Buzoianu has announced that she has adopted Leia, the cat previously cared for by the Ministry of Environment, following the conclusion of her mandate. Buzoianu shared the news on social media, stating that the animal has become a part of her family because she could not bear to part with her.

Leia, formerly known as Luna, first gained public attention in April 2026. The cat was rescued by the Sache Vet Association after being found in critical condition in a basement following an act of violence. She had suffered severe neurological injuries and mobility issues, but recovered through medical treatment before being adopted by the Ministry.
