Diana Morant wears feminist t-shirt during eclipse observation

During a government-led observation of the solar eclipse at the Yebes Astronomical Observatory, Spain's Minister of Science and Innovation, Diana Morant, drew significant attention for wearing a feminist-themed t-shirt.

The black shirt featured an illustration of a woman's head containing a universe and the text 'Her mind was bigger than space'. Morant explained that the phrase is inspired by a poem by American poet Emily Dickinson, which describes a woman's mind as being larger than space and deeper than the ocean.

Morant used the occasion to advocate for scientific literacy and to encourage new generations to pursue careers in science, stating that the eclipse serves as an opportunity to show children that 'the world is theirs'.
