Diana Șoșoacă accuses Romanian intelligence and CSAT of dysfunction

Romanian MEP and S.O.S. Romania leader Diana Iovanovici-Șoșoacă has leveled serious allegations against the country’s intelligence services and the Supreme Council of National Defense (CSAT).

In one instance, Șoșoacă accused the intelligence services of being dysfunctional and operating under the influence of various foreign powers, including the United States, Germany, France, Russia, and Ukraine. She claimed that these institutions have deviated from their legal missions, prioritizing personal financial interests over the interests of the Romanian state, and criticized the leakage of classified information to the press.

Additionally, Șoșoacă has claimed via social media that there is a conspiracy to assassinate Călin Georgescu while in detention. Without providing evidence, she alleged that the plot involves five prison employees and three inmates, suggesting that the assassination attempt could occur via food poisoning or physical attack. She further claimed that the prison warden has remained neutral in exchange for promised protection and that certain state intelligence structures are either involved or aware of the situation but remain silent.
