Diana Ross to give first Czech Republic concert at Plzeň's Lochotín amphitheatre

American pop legend Diana Ross, age 78, will perform her first concert in the Czech Republic on Wednesday at the Lochotín open‑air amphitheatre in Plzeň. The 90‑minute show is part of her European "In Motion" tour, which includes three stops this year. Ross, who rose to fame as the lead singer of The Supremes before a solo career that sold more than 100 million records, has previously played only once in a post‑communist country – Hungary in 1996. She will deliver a solo set without an intermission, featuring hits from her Motown era and later solo hits such as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "I'm Coming Out".

Ross’s career highlights include induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with The Supremes, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a Presidential Medal of Freedom from Barack Obama, and performances at events such as the Glastonbury Festival and the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Her upcoming concert marks a historic moment for Czech live‑music fans, who have awaited a performance by a global icon of her stature.
