Diana Shipping Extends Atalandi Time Charter Through 2027 at Higher Rate

Diana Shipping Inc. announced that a wholly‑owned subsidiary has extended the time charter contract for its 77,529‑dwt Ice Class Panamax dry‑bulk vessel m/v Atalandi with Stone Shipping Ltd. The new gross charter rate is US$16,500 per day, less a 5 % third‑party commission, and the charter runs from 5 August 2026 to a minimum of 1 August 2027 and up to 30 September 2027. The vessel was previously chartered at US$10,100 per day. The company expects the extension to generate roughly US$5.89 million of gross revenue for the minimum period.

Diana Shipping’s fleet comprises 36 dry‑bulk vessels with a combined capacity of about 4.1 million dwt and an average age of 12.66 years. The firm also plans to receive two methanol‑dual‑fuel Kamsarmax new‑builds in the second half of 2027 and early 2028.
