Diana Shipping Extends Charter Contracts for Atalandi and Philadelphia Vessels

Diana Shipping Inc., through a wholly‑owned subsidiary, has extended the time charter for the Ice Class Panamax bulk carrier “Atalandi” (built 2014, 77,529 dwt). The gross daily rate is US$16,500, less a 5 % commission, for a period beginning 5 August 2026 and running at least until 1 August 2027 and no later than 30 September 2027. The extension is expected to generate about US$5.89 million in gross revenue.

The company also signed a new time charter for the Newcastlemax dry bulk vessel “Philadelphia” (built 2012, 206,040 dwt). The contract runs from 8 August 2026 to a window between 10 March 2027 and 10 May 2027, at a gross daily rate of US$35,500, less a 5 % commission, and is projected to produce roughly US$7.46 million in revenue. Diana Shipping’s fleet currently comprises 36 dry‑bulk vessels with a total capacity of about 4.1 million dwt.
