Diane Warren adopts viral West Hollywood piglet

Grammy-winning songwriter Diane Warren has adopted Wilbur, a miniature pig that became an internet sensation after being filmed running through the streets of West Hollywood.

The black-and-white piglet gained viral fame after footage of his dash through the neighborhood spread on social media. Following his capture, Wilbur was taken to the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter. To ensure a fair process, LA Animal Services held a silent auction to determine the pig's new owner.

Warren, an animal welfare activist who operates a rescue ranch in Malibu, intervened to secure the adoption. According to her representative, Marcia Zwilling, Warren saw the news clips and immediately requested to acquire the animal. Wilbur will reside at a sanctuary where he will have access to acreage and other animals. One report noted that Warren intends to rename the pig ‘Hollywood’ to distinguish him from another Wilbur already living at her sanctuary.
