Diario de Yucatán launches new mobile news application

Diario de Yucatán has launched a new mobile application via the Pugpig Bolt platform, developed in partnership with Newspack. Based in Mérida, the newspaper provides coverage of the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico, and international news.

The app features personalized user experiences, including a ‘For You’ tab that allows readers to follow specific authors and topics. It also includes a multimedia section for video content, a puzzles section with crosswords, and a digital editions tab that enables offline reading and access to archives.

Personalization features, such as following specific reporters and selecting interest categories like local news, security, or sports, are available to all users, including non-subscribers. The application is currently available on both iOS and Android platforms.
