Dickens Festijn in Deventer introduces time slots for 2026

The 34th edition of the Dickens Festijn will take place on December 12 and 13, 2026, in the Bergkwartier district of Deventer. The event transforms the area into a 19th-century English setting featuring over 950 characters from Charles Dickens' works, including Scrooge and Oliver Twist.

To manage crowds and reduce waiting times, organizers are introducing a new system of online time slots. Visitors must reserve a specific arrival time when purchasing tickets. While the event was previously free, entry fees have been implemented; early bird tickets are priced at €6, regular pre-sale tickets at €7.50, and tickets at the door will cost €9. Children up to seven years old can enter for free.
