Dicle University completes soil studies for new 600-bed hospital

Dicle University has completed the soil survey for its new 600-bed hospital project in Diyarbakır. The facility is planned to be built within the university campus, following current earthquake regulations to ensure safety and resilience.

University Rector Prof. Dr. Kamuran Eronat described the project as a “visionary health investment” for Diyarbakır and the surrounding region. Once construction begins, the hospital is intended to serve not only as a medical facility but also as a major center for academic research, medical education, and training.

The project aims to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, meeting the growing demand for university hospital services and enhancing the city's capacity for health tourism. An official groundbreaking ceremony is expected to take place soon.
