Dicle University hosts international symposium in Diyarbakır

The 9th International Symposium on Economy, Politics, and Management has commenced at Dicle University in Diyarbakır. Organized by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, the three-day event focuses on the theme of “Twin Transformation in the Age of Geo-economic Ruptures: From the Perspective of Digitalization and Sustainability.”

Speakers at the symposium addressed the intersection of regional peace and economic development. Devrim Türk, Chairman of the Board of DOGÜNSİFED, highlighted how regional instability, such as the situation in Yemen, impacts energy costs and the Turkish economy. He emphasized that strengthening economic and legal ties with neighboring countries, specifically Syria and Iraq, could foster social peace and increase trade and investment.

The program includes academic presentations in Turkish and English across disciplines such as economics, political science, international relations, and artificial intelligence. Discussions aim to explore global economic risks, digital transformation, the green economy, and sustainable development.
