DICREP raises gold valuation to $30,000 per gram in Antofagasta and Atacama

The General Directorate of Pawn Credit (DICREP) has increased the valuation of gold to $30,000 per gram for the month of September in the Antofagasta and Atacama regions. This measure allows users to access higher loan amounts using the same collateral.

The decision follows a similar implementation in the Coquimbo and Valparaíso regions during August. Officials stated that the increase aims to provide timely financial resources to families, particularly to meet economic needs associated with emergencies or expenses related to Fiestas Patrias celebrations. While the valuation has changed, the standard conditions and requirements for accessing pawn credit remain the same.
