DiDi and Miguel Hidalgo partner to support National Institute of Perinatology
The Miguel Hidalgo borough administration and the technology platform DiDi have announced a strategic alliance to support the National Institute of Perinatology (INPer) ‘Isidro Espinosa de los Reyes’ in Mexico City.
As part of this collaboration, DiDi is donating 13 benches for the emergency area, two mobile device charging totems, and 200 free ride coupons for medical staff to be used throughout the year. Mauricio Tabe, the mayor of Miguel Hidalgo, emphasized that cooperation between the public sector and private initiatives is essential for providing dignified service to users. The borough has also complemented these efforts with urban services around the hospital, including tree pruning, sidewalk rehabilitation, and improved street lighting.
Vicente Roqueñi, DiDi’s Director for Latin America, noted the strong link between mobility and healthcare, citing a study showing that one in ten trips on the platform begins or ends at a hospital. Ana Cristina Arteaga Gómez, General Director of INPer, expressed gratitude for the infrastructure and road safety improvements surrounding the high-specialty institution.
