Didier Deschamps evaluates coaching future after France tenure

Following his departure from the French national team after the 2026 World Cup, former manager Didier Deschamps is evaluating his next professional role. Deschamps is currently a free agent and is reportedly seeking a project that offers significant control over sporting decisions.

Reports indicate that Deschamps was approached by Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, but negotiations did not result in an agreement. Disagreements reportedly centered on the decision-making structures within the Saudi Pro League. Additionally, he has received informal interest from clubs in Turkey.

Bookmakers have placed various odds on his next move, with some predicting a sabbatical year. Potential destinations include Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique de Marseille, Juventus, and the Italian national team. Other possibilities mentioned include a return to Monaco or roles with the national teams of Brazil, Portugal, or Argentina.
