Didier Deschamps linked to Galatasaray following France departure
Former France national team manager Didier Deschamps is looking to continue his coaching career following his departure after the 2026 World Cup. After fourteen years leading the French squad, Deschamps intends to take a period of rest before committing to a new project, potentially waiting until November or the end of the season to ensure he finds a convincing opportunity at a club or with another national team.
Reports indicate that Deschamps has already attracted interest, including a potential three-season offer from the Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli. More recently, Turkish journalist Bülent Timurlenk reported that Deschamps has become a priority target for Galatasaray. The Istanbul-based club is reportedly considering him as a successor to current manager Okan Buruk, whose position has become uncertain following recent performances in the Turkish league and the Champions League.
