Didier Lobo proposes solutions for declining mining royalties in Cesar

Senator Didier Lobo Chinchilla participated in a working session with the National Planning Department (DNP), various ministries, the National Mining Agency (ANM), and local mayors to address declining royalty revenues in the Cesar mining corridor.

To strengthen the finances of these territories, three lines of action were proposed: managing the release of savings to increase resource availability, incentivizing production to bolster mining-related income, and exploring the possibility for mayors to commit up to 70% of biennial resources to improve local planning and execution.
