Didim Agriculture Festival begins in Akyeniköy

The Didim Municipality has launched the Didim Agriculture Festival in Akyeniköy under the theme ‘From Soil to the Future: Productive Didim’. The event, which commenced on October 15 to coincide with International Women Farmers Day, aims to highlight local producers, regional production culture, and the contributions of women to agricultural labor.

The festival features various activities through October 18, including exhibitions of local products such as olives. Scheduled programs include discussions on local agriculture and the impact of climate change on farming. Other highlights include a tractor parade featuring women farmers, traditional folk dance performances, and workshops on olive processing, pickling, and composting.
