Didim, Turkey opens Medusa jewelry stalls supporting local makers
The Didim Municipality installed the Medusa Jewelry Stalls along Yalı Street in the Altınkum neighbourhood. The stalls showcase hand‑made jewelry, souvenirs and other crafted items, allowing local artisans to sell directly to Turkish and foreign visitors during the summer season.
Mayor Hatice Gençay said the stalls create an important meeting point for producers, adding that "the Medusa Jewelry Stalls provide a valuable space where the work of our hand‑crafting community reaches a wider audience, supporting local production while enriching Didim’s tourism profile." The initiative is intended to boost the town’s economic activity and enhance its reputation as a vibrant tourist destination.
