Didimax disputes Rp23 billion customer loss claim
PT Didi Max Berjangka (Didimax) has issued a clarification regarding allegations of trading system manipulation and claims of customer losses totaling Rp23 billion. The company stated that transaction history on the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform shows total withdrawals by the customer exceeded their total deposits.
According to Didimax, the customer deposited USD230,000 (approximately Rp3.22 billion) and withdrew USD327,800 (approximately Rp4.589 billion), resulting in withdrawals that were USD97,800 higher than the deposits. The company noted that the transaction history also recorded cumulative trading profits of USD110,507 and transaction commissions of USD12,690.
Didimax emphasized the need to distinguish between the customer's claim of Rp23 billion and actual proven losses. The company suggested the Rp23 billion figure includes calculations of potential profits that the customer claims they failed to obtain. Regarding allegations of system manipulation, the company explained that price discrepancies between requested and executed prices can occur due to slippage, which typically happens during rapid market movements or major economic news announcements.
