Die Anstalt reissues self-titled synth-punk debut via City Slang

Berlin-based synth-punk trio Die Anstalt has reissued their self-titled debut album through the label City Slang. The reissue arrives exactly one year after the album's initial independent release on September 25, 2025.

The original run of the album was limited to 300 vinyl copies and sold out quickly. Following that success, an additional 500 records were pressed and also sold out. The new City Slang version includes a ninth track, “Isolation,” which was originally featured on the 2024 EP “Rat Race” but has been re-recorded for this release.

The band, consisting of Carmen Redeker, Jakob Feyerherm, and Emanuele Mattei, blends elements of early EBM, minimal synth, and post-punk. Their sound has drawn comparisons to artists such as Boy Harsher, DAF, and Xmal Deutschland.
