Die Friesenjunkies trailer released for new German impro-dramedy

The trailer for the eight-part impro-dramedy ‘Die Friesenjunkies’ has been released. Created by Emil and Oskar Belton, the series is set in the luxurious ‘Isebek’ addiction clinic located on the island of Sylt.

The show follows a diverse group of patients, including celebrities and millionaires, as they navigate therapy and detoxification. The narrative explores how social status and wealth become irrelevant within the clinic setting. The production features a mix of scripted and improvised scenes and includes a guest appearance by Otto Waalkes.

‘Die Friesenjunkies’ will be available in the ARD Mediathek starting November 6, with broadcasts on ‘Das Erste’ scheduled for November 13 and 14.
