Die Toten vom Bodensee expands with three new episodes

The German crime series ‘Die Toten vom Bodensee’ is expanding with three new episodes titled ‘Der Wassergeist’, ‘Schützenfrau’, and ‘Hexenwerk’. Production company Graf Film announced that filming for these installments began on March 3, 2026, with an expected completion date in mid-June 2026. Specific broadcast dates have not yet been released.

Actor Matthias Koeberlin, who has portrayed investigator Micha Oberländer for twelve years, recently discussed his future with the role. While he has no immediate plans to leave, Koeberlin noted that he periodically evaluates whether the character still offers sufficient narrative potential. He also mentioned that the physical demands of the production could influence his long-term participation in the series.
