Diego Boneta discusses film ‘Killing Castro’ with Al Pacino

Actor Diego Boneta has shared details regarding his collaboration with Al Pacino in the film ‘Killing Castro’. Boneta, who also produced the film, portrays Fidel Castro in a story centered on the late Cuban leader’s 1960 visit to New York to deliver his first speech at the United Nations.

Following screenings at the Toronto and Tribeca film festivals, the movie is scheduled to be presented at the Morelia International Film Festival in Mexico. Boneta noted that the film has received positive critical reception and is expected to reach theaters by the end of 2026.

Boneta also reflected on the personal significance of working with Pacino, noting that the legendary actor served as a primary inspiration for his acting career since childhood. Looking ahead, Boneta is set to premiere the series ‘El Gato Negro’ on Prime Video in early 2027.
