Diego Díaz named ONEFA 2025 Rookie of the Year

Diego Díaz Galindo, a quarterback for the Potros Salvajes of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEMéx), has been named the 2025 Rookie of the Year by the National Organization of Student American Football (ONEFA) National Conference.

Díaz Galindo, an Administration student, earned the distinction following a standout 2025 season in which he recorded 803 passing yards, six touchdowns, and an average of 133.83 yards per game. The athlete expressed that the award reflects the collective work of his institution and serves as motivation for future growth both on and off the field.
