Diego Elías wins 2026 Pan American Squash Championship

Diego Elías of Peru secured his fourth Pan American Senior Squash Championship title in Asunción, Paraguay. Entering the tournament as the top seed, Elías defeated Mexico’s Leonel Cárdenas with a 3-1 match score of 9-11, 11-8, 11-8, and 11-1.

In the women’s division, Amanda Sobhy of the United States reclaimed her title for the third time. Sobhy defeated fellow American and second seed Marina Stefanoni in an all-USA final, winning the match 11-7, 11-1, 11-5, and 11-9.

This victory marks a significant achievement for Elías, who previously won PSA circuit titles and has established himself as a leading figure in international squash.
