Diego Gobbi and Laura Silva to represent Brazil in Pan-American Squash

Squash athletes Diego Gobbi and Laura Silva, representing Esporte Clube Pinheiros, will compete for Brazil in the 2026 Pan-American Squash Championship. The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 16 to 21 in Asunción, Paraguay.

The competition serves as a qualifying event for the 2027 Pan American Games. Gobbi noted that the tournament is a critical step toward securing Olympic and Pan American Games spots. Silva, who earned a bronze medal in 2025, highlighted the high level of competition, noting the presence of top 10 world-ranked players and mentioning her recent intensive training period in Barcelona.
