Diego Kochen eyes return to FC Barcelona after USMNT milestone

USMNT goalkeeper Diego Kochen has expressed his ambition to eventually return to FC Barcelona. Currently on loan from the Spanish club to Lyngby Boldklub in the Danish Superliga, Kochen aims to gain maximum playing time to further his development.

Kochen, a product of Barcelona’s La Masia academy, recently made history as the youngest goalkeeper to start a match for the United States men’s national team in a game against Mexico. Having progressed through the youth ranks in Catalonia since age 13, he has previously served as a third-choice goalkeeper for Barcelona's senior squad.

While focused on his current tenure in Denmark and his responsibilities with the national team, Kochen described the prospect of returning to a major club like Barcelona as “any kid’s dream.”
